Amazon Review:

Well, this was the first pattern book I’ve ever purchased and I made plenty of cute little booties for my little girl and one pair for a friend.

I found the instructions easy to follow, and if there was a stitch I didn’t know there is a chart in the back which is very handy.

It would have been nice if it had color pages but at least you have a color picture on the front and back covers.

  5. Vanessa says:

Hey Paula, I loved this pattern and i don’t read pattern and so i just watched the video and it was so simple! My teacher just adopted a premie baby and i wanted to make the baby a hat and i made one without the brim so it would be a good winter hat. I added a row and used the triple crochet stitch and i weaved a ribbon in the last row so it would be adjustable so it would fit her for a couple years. Quick question-what brand of hook do you use and recommend for beginners?

    • Paula says:

      That’s great Vanessa!

I like to use Clover Soft Touch hooks and enjoy Susan Bates brand also. For beginners you may find the Susan Bates brand easier to use.

Is it alright if I use this pattern? Do you have any other videos for baby boy hats? I sat down and in no time had whipped out this hat and it is so adorable!! πŸ™‚

    • Paula says:

Hello Julie, No problem!! I’m self taught also and love giving to charity. Go for it girl! Yes, you can use this pattern. Sorry I don’t have any other baby boy hats except the Baby Beanie with Ears. I’m thrilled you can make this hat so quickly and are giving them away for a good cause.

      All the best,
