Making a Slip Knot

In the video tutorial you will find out the technique to Making a Slip Knot.

A slip knot is the first contact you will make with the yarn when crocheting a project.

To make a slip knot follow these instructions:

  • Hold the end of the thread
  • Wrap the yarn around your right forefinger
  • Pull the yarn off your forefinger holding the top of the yarn where it crosses over
  • Push left side of yarn through the back of the loop and pull that piece of yarn up which creates the slip knot

This slip knot is what will start off any of your crochet projects.
