Kids Crochet Beanie Pattern

Kids Crochet BeanieThis is a really easy Kids Crochet Beanie Pattern for you to crochet and the main stitch used is the single crochet.

You can crochet this kids beanie with or without a cuff; adding a cuff is simple by adding on more rows at the end and then turning it up.

This pattern is worked in continuous rounds which means there is no joining at the end of rounds. It finishes off with a slip stitch edging to give it a neat finish.

    Hi Paula,

Firstly, I loved all your work. They look so beautiful & has a professional touch too. And the videos are so good especially for a beginners like me they are very friendly. Made it easy to understand.

I was planning to make a Kids Crochet Beanie Pattern for my niece. But as she stays far away I do not know how big I have to do so that it fits her. She will be turning 6 this June. Can you please help me with the length I can go for girl this age?

    • Paula says:

      Hi Akshata,

Thank you for your compliments! A childs beanie for age 6 would measure 48-51cm/19-20.5 inches in circumference. The beanie height from top to bottom should be 22cm/8.5 inches.

  2. Gwen says:

What size hook should I use to make this beanie for a 13 year old?

    • Paula says:

      Hi Gwen,
I’d would try using a 6.0mm crochet hook.
