Fancy Crochet Snowflake Pattern

Fancy Crochet SnowflakeThis Fancy Crochet Snowflake Pattern was part of a very old vintage pattern that I came across recently. I’ve modified the pattern slightly and thought it was so very pretty and wanted to share it with you. You can use yarn or cotton for this pattern depending on whether you want a fine snowflake or a chunky snowflake. I’ve made mine chunky so it is easier for you to see.

For Visual Learners crochet along with me in the Fancy Crochet Snowflake Video Tutorial.

Hello I was wondering if you may be able to help me. Im from Australia and here we have ply of wool such as 8ply etc. How do I know what ply wool corresponds to worsted yarn please. Im not familiar with the term and have several patterns that ask for worsted yarn and I have no idea what ply is what worsted yarn. I hope that I have made sense.
    thanks for your help.
