Note on Sizing: A good way to test if this pattern is going to be the right size for you is once you have made your chain stitches and joined to form a ring, wrap the ring around your neck twice and if it’s a nice fit then continue on with rnd 1, otherwise add as many extra chain stitches you want to make it bigger.

Ch 105, join with a sl st into 1st ch to form a ring.

Rnd 1: ch 3, 1 dc into each ch st around to the end, join with a sl st into top of ch-3. (105 sts)

Rnd 2: ch 3, 1 dc into each st around to the end, join with a sl st into top of ch-3.

Rnds 3 – 8: Rep Rnd 2.

Finish off.

Weave both yarn tails into the back of the work with a yarn needle.

Now it’s ready to wrap around the neck and head.

  1. Hey Paula,

I like the idea of a neck wrap. It’s getting to be that time of year up here in New England. This one looks like a pretty quick pattern to do up. Maybe I’ll make some for Christmas presents. I think I’ll try one with some fuzzy yarn to jazz it up a bit, see how that looks.

Speaking of Christmas, how about a couple of Christmas patterns, maybe afghans, pillows, whatever. I might have time to do just one afghan for Christmas. Maybe. Or else just a lot of neck wraps.

    Regards,

    Diana

Thanks Diana, Glad you will be able to use this pattern. It’s cold up your way and it’s hot down here in AUS for our Christmas. That won’t keep me from crocheting though!

I will definitely keep my eye out or come up with something for Christmas so you have something to work on!

      All the best,
      Paula

Hi Paula, I’ve just started to make the neck wrap. I’m a beginner crocheter & love simple easy patterns to make, I live in country Victoria in Australia too & it does get very hot here which makes light projects like this easy to do. Even though I’m slow at crocheting, I’m looking forward to when the project is completed. Thanks for a great pattern & an awesome website.
    Warm regards: Michelle.
