Crochet Violet Flower Bobby Pins Pattern

This is a quick and easy way to snazz up some bobby pins. Crochet up these violet flowers and glue them to your bobby pins.

This is an ideal way to give your girls some pretty hair wear.

Stitches & Terms

This pattern is using U.S. stitches. To convert stitches go to my Crochet Stitch Conversion Chart.

ch = chain

dc = double crochet

hk = hook

rep = repeat

sc = single crochet

sl st = slip stitch

st = stitch

trc = triple (or treble) crochet

Materials Required

Crochet Hook (see sizes below)

Worsted Weight Yarn or 8 ply

Yarn Needle

Glue Gun & Glue Sticks

Flower Measurements

3.0mm crochet hook = 4cm x 4cm flower

4.5mm crochet hook = 5cm x 5cm flower

5.5mm crochet hook = 6cm x 6cm flower

How to Crochet a Violet Flower Video Tutorial

Written Instructions (Make 2)

ch 2.

Round 1: 5 sc into 2nd ch from hk, join in 1st sc with a sl st.

Round 2: *ch 3, 2 dc in same st, ch 3, sl st in same st, sl st in next sc, rep from * (2 more times), ** ch 4, 2 trc in same st, ch 4, sl st in same st, sl st in next st, rep from ** (once more), finish off.

Weave in yarn tails with a yarn needle.

Attaching Violet Flowers to Bobby Pins

Place glue stick in the glue gun and warm up the gun. Place a blob of glue onto the pad of the bobby pin and press the flower into the center of the pad. Hold for 30 seconds or until it has stuck firmly. Do the same for the other bobby pin and flower.

Now you should have your Crochet Violet Flower Bobby Pins ready to be worn in the hair.
