Crochet Pocket Pattern

Crochet Pocket

There doesn’t seem to be much in the ways of Crochet Pocket Patterns on the internet so I thought I would throw up a quick and easy one here.

There is nothing to it really. This one is just a square or rectangle made with the single crochet stitch. It’s kind of like making a swatch.

For Visual Learners crochet along with me in the Crochet Pocket Video Tutorial.

Notes: Chain on as many chain stitches that you want (measure your foundation chain against your project so you get the right width). If the pocket needs to be wider then add more chain stitches for the foundation chain.

When working with the single crochet stitch, the ch 1 is not counted as a stitch and therefore isn’t crocheted into when you come to it at the end of every row after the first row.

I’ve made 13 ch sts for the crochet pocket pictured above.

Row 1: 1 sc into 2nd ch from hk, 1 sc into each ch st across to the end, turn.

Row 2: ch 1, 1 sc into each st across to the end, turn.

Following rows: Repeat Row 2 until you have the height required.

Finish off.

Sew crochet pocket onto your project with a yarn needle and yarn.
