Crochet Bag Handle Pattern

Crochet Bag HandleYou will find below a Crochet Bag Handle Pattern that I created for a shoulder bag I am making currently.

Stitches & Terms

This pattern is using U.S. stitches and terms. To convert to stitches go to my Crochet Stitch Conversion Chart.

ch = chain

dc = double crochet

sl st = slip stitch

ch-3 = 3 chain stitches previously made

Materials Required

2 x 100gm Bendigo Woollen 8ply Yarn (crocheted together)

Substitute Yarn: any 8 ply, DK or Medium Worsted Weight yarn – 2 x balls

I used a 5.0mm Clover Soft Touch Crochet Hook

118cm long x 4cm wide

Crochet Bag Handle Video Tutorial

Written Instructions

Using both balls of yarn and crocheting them together: ch 8, join into 1st ch with a sl st to form a ring.

Rnd 1: ch 3, 7 dc into ring, join with a sl st into top of ch-3. (8 sts)

Rnd 2: ch 3, 1 dc into each of next 7 dc, join with a sl st in top of ch-3.

Rnds 3 – 70: Repeat Round 2.

Finish off.
