Love this pattern! just made a pair of green ones for my nephew (: he’s already growing out of them though, so I was wondering how would I (or where, really) add stitches in order to make a bigger pair? Thanks!

    • Paula says:

Thank you Taylor. To make a bigger pair you can use thicker yarn and a larger sized hook.

  3. Stacey says:

Thank you for sharing your pattern. I made these last night using both your pattern and video. Your instructions were very clear and the video was very very helpful. The booties turned out wonderful! Thanks again.

I adore this pattern. I have made smaller, and larger, by following your suggestion of changing hook size and yarn thickness. I would, however, love to make a pair for myself, so is it possible to help me with the pattern adjustments, please? I don’t think they make hooks large enough to create an adult boot…..lol

    Thanks….very cool booties!

Hi, Paula… this is my first time to make a booties n i really like this pattern ^^ i just made it n really love it.. but a bit confused about the stitches if i wanna make a bigger size.. is there any suggestion for that? thank u very much..

Hello Vera, Thank you for liking my pattern. If you’d like a bigger size you can always use a larger crochet hook and thicker yarn.

  8. Amanda says:

I want to do these booties to test out the ability I have in reading the shorthand of the crocheting world. I was wondering, in between the first round and the second round, you say trim the yarn tail off, then in the second round you say do 2 hdc into the same sp you did the sl st. I was wondering if you mean fasten off and then do them or, if not, how do I add them into the same spot lol, just a little confused is all.

    • Paula says:

      Hi Amanda,

Where I say trim the tail off, that’s the end of the yarn tail that you worked over when you worked the first round, no I don’t mean finish off. Hope this helps!

    Hi Paula

I really love the video for this chunky baby booties. But I need to make a bigger size.
How do I increase the size? Thank you for helping me out.

    Regards

    • Paula says:

Hi Rita, you can make larger sizes by increasing the size of your crochet hook.

  19. Robyn says:

I’ve been trying to make this for so long, don’t no what I’m doing wrong. You make it look so easy. I’m not giving up yet!

  20. Lisag says:

I tried a couple of patterns before this one without any success. I used sirdar big softy super chunky and a 6.5 hook and I am so pleased with the results! Will definitely be making another pair shortly. Thank you so much for your clear and easy instructions. You are a star!

    • Paula says:

Hello Lisag, Thanks for letting me know your booties came out great. Have fun making your next pair and thank you for the compliment!

  21. Tiffany says:

Hey how would you determine the numbers if this is being made for a 10cm foot vs a 8cm foot? For example, when it says dc2og 5 times how would I know how to convert it to an 10cm foot? Plz help!

    • Paula says:

Instead of changing the pattern I would use a larger hook.
